V předkládané studii se zaměřuji na téma panenství v protestantských normativních a moralistických textech v českých zemích před rokem 1620. Zvláštní kapitola je věnována jednotě bratrské a recepci Lutherovy reformy manželství, která byla akceptována utrakvisty a luterány ve druhé polovině 16. století a v první polovině 17. století. Text sleduje recepci Lutherova postoje k panenství a manželství v českých nekatolických hnutích předbělohorské doby.

"Šťastná jest neplodná a neposkvrněná a ta, jenž nepoznala lože v hřiechu." Virginity and the Reception of Luther's Marital Reform in the Texts of Protestants and Bohemian Brethren before 1620

In this study, I concentrate on the theme of virginity in the Protestant normative and moralist texts in the Czech lands before 1620. The article deals with the texts of Bohemian Brethren and the reception of Luther's marital reform, which was accepted in the Utraquists' and Lutherans' texts in the second half of the sixteenth century and the first half of the seventeenth century. The question of virginity in the environment of Bohemian Brethren was reflected in the spirit of the collectiveness of an illegal sect; Lukáš Pražský defended the primacy of virginity in the light of the inheritance of medieval understanding of a corporal purity, but a few years later Jan Augusta followed Luther's conception of the marital reform. Luther's marital reform infiltrated the normative Czech texts before 1620 and the overvaluation of the married state was accepted.
