One can note the most significant results in the development of modern visual arts and modern literature. The contribution of Czech artists and intellectuals in the development of modern Slovak art can be perceived in the following three main levels: 1. Share in the founding of new art institutions, schools and associations (e.g. the House of Art, the Slovak Art Forum, the School of Arts and Crafts, the East Slovak Museum), 2. Broad-spectrum patronage activity towards modern Slovak artists, writers and musicians, 3. Publishing activities stimulating the development and promotion of modern Slovak literature. In this context, the help of Czech artists and intellectuals was shown to have significantly contributed to the dynamics of the development of modern Slovak art during the First Czechoslovak Republic.
